Perhaps the most popular form of poker nowadays is Texas Hold’em Poker. It is a very complex poker game that needs consistent practice so the player will be aware of the existing strategies. However, this will not be at all possible if ne will not learn the basics of the game. This is a very exciting form of poker and this is usually what we all see in tournaments and in television. For starters, Texas Hold’em is played by about ten players. These many players mean there is higher potential of earning and also, higher potential of losing the game. This is because the cards are dealt with several players and the hands will really vary.

The poker players are seated on a round table and the system used for betting is the poker blind system. This is a kind of betting system in which players are forced to bet. There are two types of blind bets, the big and the small. Before the game starts, there is an agreed ceiling bet. This is the big blind bet. The other type of blind bet, called the small bet, is half the amount of the big blind bet. For example, the big blind bet is 20 dollars. The small bet is 10 dollars only. The players who will bet on these blinds rotate to the left for every round. The reason this is made is for the game to accumulate poker pot money. This is also the reason why it is called rotating blind.

After the blinds are all set, the players are dealt with two cards each facing down. These cards are called hole cards. Each player to the left will then have a turn to raise the bet equal to the player who previously placed the bet. They can also fold which means they will quit the game because their cards are in the losing end. In many Texas Hold’em games, the maximum round of betting is three.

This will go on after the first community card is placed face up on the table. Then another one will be placed, and then the final, the fifth card. After all the bets are made, the showdown occurs in Texas Hold’em. This time, the players show their card, the hole cards, and then determine who wins the poker game. This is determined by identifying the best possible five card combination.
