If you are keen on Texas Holdem, you already know that today you can play regular games, as well as participate in online poker tournaments. Online Texas Holdem tournaments are a great opportunity for every good gambler to earn a lot of money while entertaining. And as there are different types of online tourneys, you can choose the one, which fits you best.

Now we are going to pay attention to Texas Holdem Satellite Tournaments. These are competitions, which are most appropriate for advanced players with good experience. Many online gamblers think that these events are just like the ordinary multi-table tournaments, but you should know that there are some differences between them. Texas Holdem Satellite Tournaments are events, which are preliminarily scheduled, so you should check when they start and how to register for participation.

There are three types of Satellite Tournaments, which differ from each other in their structure.

1. The first type of Texas Holdem Satellites is also known as Winner Takes All. As the name of this tournament shows, there is only one winner who takes the prize. Playing in such event you have to accumulate all the chips in order to win a seat in larger competition. A good strategy in Winner Takes All Satellites is to play aggressively. Remember that your aim is to win all the chips, so the aggressive play will surely help you achieve that.

2. The second type is called High Buy-in Texas Holdem Satellites (usually with buy-ins of $500 or more). In these events there is one winner per 20 players, so your chances to win an entry to a bigger tournament are increased. In the High Buy-in Satellite Tournaments your goal is to keep an above-average stack and a good strategy will be to play patiently, not so aggressively.

3. The third kind of Texas Holdem Satellites are the Low Buy-ins, featuring buy-ins ranging from $100 to $200. In these competitions there are 10 winners, which means that the top ten players will win seats in larger events. During the later rounds of a Low Buy-in tourney you must try to increase your chip stack, if you don't want to be eliminated.

Satellite Tournaments are preffered of many online Texas Holdem players because they give you the chance to win an entry to the most popular poker championships - World Poker Tour and World Series Of Poker. And if you are good enough in playing poker, you have real chances to obtain big amounts of money.
